In our colors, the sword pierces the shield portion of the colors and forms the vertical section of a cross, symbolic of our salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. The three-lobed triquetra symbol found in the hilt of the sword is emblematic of the triunity of God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
