The following is a brief account of how the Servants of the Lord Motorcycle Ministry (original club name) came into being.  The original sponsoring church was Covenant Fellowship Church in Lake Dallas, TX.  The key individuals mentioned, Jim, John, and Russ, were the three original members and formed the original ministry leadership.

In 2005, John, Jim, and Russ were riding in another motorcycle club, but Jim and John, independent of each other, felt a call to something different.  Neither knew that they were on the same path, nor that they would end up in the same ministry. 

Both had been praying about their involvement in ministry.  They felt that they were being compelled to a higher calling in their marriages, their personal lives, and in their personal ministries.  About this time, Jim had a dream about forming a motorcycle ministry organization, and spoke with John about it.  This was the genesis of the Servants of the Lord.
