Shortly thereafter, both men left that other club in order to answer the calling that had been placed on their hearts concerning the motorcycle ministry.  Having broken away from the previous club, Jim and John sought the Lord’s guidance concerning who He would bring into the new ministry. 

Over time, the Lord led Russ to leave the other club and join with Jim and John in the yet un-named ministry.  With the addition of Russ, the three men began to earnestly seek the Lord in prayer, asking for direction and wisdom in the ministry that they had been called to.

During one meeting, which the pastor attended, there was a discussion about the name of the ministry. The pastor suggested the name ‘Servants of the Lord’.   Jim, John, and Russ knew immediately that this was to be the name of the ministry, and it was confirmed through the Scripture – Isaiah 42:1-9 ₁₅.   Therefore, the Servants of the Lord serve the One who was a perfect servant.
